Johan van Valkenburg is a Senior Scientist at the Netherlands Institute for Vectors, Invasive plants and Plant health (NIVIP) of the NVWA, leading research projects relating to invasive non-native plants. Looking back at the Japanese knotweed SymposiumĪpart from the exciting new insights that came as a result of the symposium, we also found that collaboration and interaction between different discpilines can be a great stepping stone for a more holistic approach to dealing with knotweed.
